“Your life is a journey. And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation – continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way.
You are on the path… exactly where you are meant to be right now… And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love.”
A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path.
This is the classical or seventh circuit labyrinth. Seven circuits refers the seven paths that lead to the center or goal. This is an ancient design and is found in most cultures. It is sometimes dated back more than 4000 years. Also known as the Cretan Labyrinth it is associated with the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. This design was found on Cretan coins.
At its most basic level the labyrinth can be seen as a metaphor for the journey to the centre of your deepest self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who you are.
I was given this particular copy of the life labyrinth by a client as a parting present, she had no idea that it is one of my favourite symbols. It’s a beautifully carved wooden version that hangs on my wall where I can see it every day and seemed the perfect image to use for a logo given what it represents.
